Cochise County Fair (Douglas)
Come to the Fair! Enjoy carnival rides, 4-H demonstrations, livestock auctions, collegiate rodeo, bull riding, food concessions, retail booths, animal exhibits, arts and crafts, and live entertainment. Lots of fun for the kids. Gates open at 10 am Thursday through Sunday. Gates close at 10 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 5 pm on Sunday. County Fairgrounds, Leslie Canyon Rd., North of Douglas. Despite cuts in funding by the state legislature, the Cochise County fair will still be held this year. Rex Allen Days

This annual celebration honors the late Rex Allen, Willcox's own silver screen cowboy. Activities include golf tournament, parade, country fair, rodeo, turtle race, softball tournaments, cowboy dances and a country music concert. Turquoise Valley Old Time Music Festival

This three-day event will feature a wide range of music from Arvel Bird, 2007 Native American Music Artist of the Year, to the Privy Tippers. Included in the lineup are Banjo champion Billy Lilly, Bayou Seco, the Rubio Family, Roger Landes & Chipper Thompson and the cowgirls of Motel Arizona. Western Book Exposition

Join 40 authors of the Old West, magazine and newspaper publishers, radio personalities, and collectors of western memorabilia in Tombstone for the Western Book Exposition, 9 am to 1 pm at the American Legion Hall. Wylie and the Wild West (Sierra Vista)
Cochise Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering presents Wylie and the Wild West, with Juni Fisher at the Buena Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 15 at 7 p.m. Wylie is the "yahoo" of yahoo! Ticket sales begin October 1 online and at the following ticket outlets in Sierra Vista: Spur Western Wear, National Bank of Arizona, Sierra Vista Visitors & Convention Center, and Ace Hardware. Cochise Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering

Headline stage performances by leading Western poets and musicians are presented Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon at the Buena Performing Arts Center in Sierra Vista.
